Golden and Noble Works

“A wife too should regard her duties in the same light, as she suckles the child, rocks and bathes it, and cares for it in other ways; and as she busies herself with other duties and renders help and obedience to her husband. These are truly golden and noble works."

  1. WOW! You are great! We have swimming and dinner at the inlaws planned, and that's it. However, we were invited to an annual family gathering of a huge family--grandpa and grandma have 9 kids--each of those kids has 3 or more (two have 8). I think the "goal" (jokingly, of course) is 50 grandkids. (The connection is I used to babysit for one of the 9 kids...) So, all that to say, this is what THEY are doing:

"You're invited to our pig roast! These bashes tend to be a free for all, horseshoes, volleyball, skeet shooting, 4-wheeling, water fights, whatever. At dusk there will be a fireworks display, followed by the torching of a very large bonfire. After the bonfire is lit, a fish fry will take place by the fire, near the creek. We're cooking up fresh bluegill filets that we caught this past month. There is camping ground available to stay the night as well.

Meat and keg/drinks provided, bring a dish to pass."

Man, one day that will be Michael and I, hopefully. Hosting all our kids and grandkids on our property for the 4th. Who needs a parade?

    Happy Independence Day!
